Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

My First Single Speed Since Growing Up...

I just paid for my first SS bike today, just gotta wait for the shop to build it up now.. I find it funny that when I was a kid the only bikes I ever had were single speeds but all I ever wanted were bikes with tons of gears to choose from. Now that I've matured slightly and have figured out my needs I'm lusting after that one gear, something that 15 years ago I'd pass up in an instant for lots of shiny chain rings and a cassette. Ahh what's old is new again!!

Oh sorry to get ya thinking it's anything special. It's just a plain jane Kona Paddywagon except for it being a Special Edition 08. Shop just got it today so I only saw it from the box
