Magna Build?
 

I got my girlfriend a used/vintage magna bicycle that was built up as a single speed. The bike looks great, but I had never heard of magna before. I figured it was some old brand since the bike looks very vintage like. Now I've discovered that magna is a cheap target type bike. Everything on the bike is brand new. the only thing that was reused was the frame. What about a magna makes them so disliked or regarded as cheap?

the company is mostly trying to appeal to the newer rider/kids rather than those that have performance in mind. they use lower quality parts (softer steel, etc) to keep the price low, and focus on the fact that they come in cool colors and whatnot.

so i guess what i am saying is that people think they are cheep because they are sold for so little when brand new.... (sounds a little redundant now that i think about it)

Magnas aren't vintage, they're old. Colnagos aren't old, their vintage. If she uses it, that's all that matters.

Not too sure about the frame, but getting rid of everything else was a good start.
