Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

generally, 650 tires are pricy, as they were the choice of triathletes, but that choice ended. tri racers also road race and got tired of buying 2 sets of race wheels, so the industry moved away from the 650c standard. the cheapest 650 tire i have found is 15 for black on chucksbikes and 20 for a grey w red stripes on nashbar, but generally if you want colored, 40 to 50 is the going rate.

you're probably way past looking now, but I'm getting an IRO Heidi which runs 650c wheels and came upon these (but they're way narrow -- 19mm)

https://www.all3sports.com/product_in...0c-x-19mm-180g

Also the Michelin "clincher pro2 race" seems like it comes in color, but maybe that's what dude above was talking about and they're no longer available. Anyway girlfriend's getting pissed at my spending more time trying to make my new bike look cool than I am listening to her so...
