Most roadies do not shave their legs.
Hipsters don't shave their legs, either. The tight girlie pants rubs the hair right off.

I do. I'm a roadie. It just happens that one of my road bikes has only a single gear.

Yes. Crashing in a Cat A cross race sucks enough without an infection due to hair.

Yeah I just recently started doing this, mostly so I could check out how my legs looked without the forest on, see how my tan actually was, etc.
Now I think I'll keep it up, just a bit of a pain to keep having to deal with it every week (as often as I can be bothered).
Any tips on good/easy/low maintenance techniques? I've been using my razor and wet shaving, I've tried nair-type stuff to no good use and I was donated an epilator (like a sanding disc thing that's supposed to pull the hair out) - nothing seems to work like the wet shave, though I've not tried waxing.

I do. Also a pretty serious roadie, too. Ride my fixed as my commuter/around town/have fun in parking lots bike.

Nothing like a well muscled calf with a network of veins showing to keep the tools at bay.

Well, I should say, I won't seem "FG pretentious". Now i just have to worry about the national champions in the group rides around here who want to stomp the ass of the new poser with the cool bike.

No. If I were to start shaving my legs, I'd pretty much have to start shaving my chest, stomach, ass, crotch and taint or I'd end up with a rather unsightly "hair line," which would be a hair's breadth (GET IT?!?!?!?!?!) more unsightly than my sasquatchian countenance.

I actually "buzz". It seems that I naturally have 3 inch pubes growing on my legs, so I use an electric razor, with a #2 or 3 guard on it and kind of trim it up. I leave it long enough for it not to be perpetual stubble. Its totally not bike related though, I just think it looks better, and it feels better in during the hot summer here.

A bit of a hijack here, how is FG pretentious? I would think that a uber-expensive geared roadie bike and shaved legs would be more pretentious than anything. I have nothing against shaved legs, I did it while I was racing on the road and running triathlons. I don't do it now, it's a pain in the ass....

Nope, I ride in jeans so there's no real benefit to be had. I'm not opposed to the idea, I just don't do it
