Hey everyone,
This frame and fork will cost at least a few hundred dollars less then the vigorelli. 850$ is our goal, so let's see how the dollar does between now and it's release. We wanted to make a frame with cinelli that was fast, stiff, and we could afford. Thanks everyone for your interest in this project. we hope you get a chance to check it out in person. The colorway is greyscale, to feel like a black and white photo. Hope you like it!

Looks better in person...talked to Mike ^^^ about it for a couple seconds and his description of what they wanted from it sounded legit.

The guy at the cinelli booth said the frame would be around the same price as the vigorelli if it is released that is.

that's a bummer...although if i was in the market for a vigorelli, and this was the same price, i might go for it instead.

I was more hoping it would come as a complete only, to be honest, for a decent price. With all Cinelli parts that seems worth at least $1400. Don't really care for a frame/fork combo because the vigorelli will be close enough in cost.

I was thinking about buying a Vigorelli so I'm going to wait to get the scoop on this bike.

1) This bike was supposedly engineered by Cinelli in collaboration with MASH. Exactly how does it differ from the Vigorelli, or in other words, what modifications did the MASH riders contribute?

2) Weren't they going to do the race on their own daily drivers? I haven't been following up on this, pardon my ignorance.

MASH=LAME. Sorry but I have seen their videos and I don't think they are "good riders" at all. I dont understand what it is that they can do that everyone else can't do? Pretty lame. The fact that Cinelli takes these guys seriously makes me never want to buy another Cinelli part again, to be honest.

I think the main difference is the geometry. I couldn't find a chart or anything but I'm guessing it's a more street-friendly version of the Vigorelli. Or maybe it's just for looks, who knows. The MASH frame will also be drilled for a front brake and comes with a cap incase you run brakeless. And of course the paint is different.

Tour of California?

I read they were going to do the Tour of California on their daily drivers, not a specialized bike. Obviously they have these special bikes, but I feel like a long time ago I had read that they stated they wanted to do the race on their normal bikes.

They are good riders. But that doesn't mean that they are the only good riders, nor does it mean that they are the best riders. They sure as hell are better than me, ten fold. MASH reached a large part of the fixed gear community. The most likely reason that Cinelli collaborated with MASH is for marketing. Regardless of your feelings for MASH, you know they road Cinelli in the Tour de California and that Cinelli has produced a MASH version of that frame. The marketing worked. The guys that rode the Tour de California rode some badass bikes, with some kickass CAPO gear as well. Its win/win for MASH & Cinelli.

I would start to worry if Cinelli started sponsoring some emo kids who just picked up Kilo TTs last week to do skids and bar spins.

They might be tools but they ride harder than I do.

I'd say most fixed gear commuters in SF do though. Hellacious city to ride a bike in, IMO. The fixed gear poseurs probably don't ride as hard as me though, even in SF.

ok, time to get this thread back on track.

These early builds are ok, but they look a little thrown together.

I can't get enough of this bar/stem setup. I wonder how comfy those bars are though. I think they're designed for time trials

How can anyone hate on this??? So it has the word MASH on it. Who gives a ****??

I didn't mean I didn't like it. It's just a very difficult city to ride in. Well, they DO have a lot of bike lanes though, so in that respect it is easy. But the terrain is generally more difficult than other urban landscapes. I will say though in Atlanta, where I currently live, the drivers are way worse and there are fewer bike lanes. But back to my main point, Atlanta is one of the hillier cities I've biked in, and SF puts Atlanta to shame in terms of grade of incline.

i like it. i know mash is seen as a bunch of hipsters, but they have contributed to the popularity of FG. If bikes can be seen as a stable in transportation, then they will ultimately become cheaper. i'm all for it. I don't hate on mash, but i don't love them either.

Re: bike. Nice geometry. If there is a brake eyelet, then I have every reason to pick this up over the standard vigorelli.
