Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Help.. Lost my ball bearings from pedal.

Hey guys,

Im making a fixie, but as i was cleaning my bottom bracket, i had to remove my pedals.

All my ball bearings went everywhere and i lost a bunch.

Anyone know where i can get the acutal balls for ball bearings?

Ive search on google, bu they only have the actual bearing in a set, not just the balls.

Anywhere, ball bearings are all standardized sizes and if you have one it can be measured easily. Just go to a good bike shop, maybe an auto shop, etc.

Swap spindles for left hand drive, to overhaul the grease, maybe just for experimenting. He has valid reasons and loosing bearings is no biggie.

Take one of the ones you have left to your local bike shop and tell them you need some more.
