broken pedal, bolt extraction

so i have one bolt on my soma hellyer pedal that has now broken twice. is the small bolt that attaches the front face plate where the clips attach to the body of the pedal. the head of the bolt just snaps off every four months or so. anyways, what would be a good tool to extract this with? i know they make drill bits for extraction but does anyone have any experience with this type of thing with a recommendation. my LBS can do it but id rather just get whatever i need to do this myself since it apparently is going to keep happening. thanks in advance for any advice.

The pullout kits are probably the best way to go seeing as it's happened a few times and this won't be the last.

Its basically a reverse thread set. You drill a hole and thread it in. Pulls it right out.

you need to buy a left hand drill bit (drills hole in reverse) and a set of EZ-Outs. be carefull not to break off the easyout, they are hardened and a pain the drill out.

thanks guys. i stopped by sears and got a bolt extraction kit. has a bunch of sizes. you just drill the middle of the screw out and then put this other tapered bit with reverse threads in it and it came out pretty easy. if the screw was any smaller i dont think it would have worked. i did read about using a dremel with a cut off wheel to just cut a slit in the broken shaft that you could then use a flat head screw driver you just turn it out which i thought was a pretty good idea. it didnt require me buying cool new tools tho so i kept it on reserve!
