Errebi sprint straps

From what I've seem its normal for the straps to split. they split for me as well. Im pretty damn pissed seeing as i spent more feeling that they would last longer and be better than other straps like the dimensions or somas. could i just use some strong glue to keep them from splittin again? or just leave them as it is?

They're still much better than Somas/Dimensions. How long did they last on you? Did they get wet much or something?

for the price they seemed to have been a good deal, but i've heard some negative reviews on them. i'd say either toshis or kashimax's for people's doub strap needs

mine split upon installation when I bought them about a year ago
they're still going strong despite the split ends
I was pissed when it happened, but in retrospect it doesn't matter
would buy again

You could glue it back together with an urethane adhesive. Go to www.mcmaster.com and plug 7493A21 into the search bar. This is the item number for a semi flexible urethane adhesive with high peel resistance. Make sure to clamp the strap between two flat surfaces (scrap wood with wax paper to prevent the strap from sticking to the wood) and let it cure completely before use.

For some general information on adhesives on the same site, just type adhesive into the search bar.

that is exactly what i am using. the track versions but i dont think that matters. for future reference what pedals wont eat my straps. i want something similarly styled. maybe the soma hellyer? what about the wellgo cl!ck? I got hit by a car a couple of week ago and my left pedal spindel is a little bent and that gives me somewhat of an excuse to get new pedals.

Edit: added link of the wellgo pedals.

i dont really know youd have to look at the size of the hole or taper or whatever you call it that you put the straps though, if theyre just as narrow as the sylvans then they wont work. sprints are wide straps. if you want to keep your sylvans the mks doubles work, if not the more expensive mks pedals like rx1 or any of the nuevos would work, and probably the ones you listed.

id just take your sylvans with you when you want to buy new pedals and just compare them at the store

edit: 95% sure those wellgos you linked would work just fine

Here's my current favorite pedal setup, Soma doubles (which are obviously pretty poor quality), MKS clips and Wellgo mini BMX platforms.

I have MKS RX-1s with Errebi Doubles on my other bike, which is a nice combo too but not so good for fooling around, doing tricks and all that.

Good thing with those mini platforms (Wellgo MG-28), besides being very small and quite light, is the fact that you can screw off the spikes at the outer corners. I took them off from the clip side so it's easier to get your feet in.
