nitto 259AA bars and the thomson x2 stem?

HI i was wanting to get the thomson stem and i already have the 259AA nitto riser bars and that clamp size is 25.4 and the thomson stem says the clamp size for the stem is 31.8 so will the bars fit or will it be to small, i seen other people with this set up tho?

You need to use the Thomson Elite for your bars. I know, not as nice looking...

thomson makes a specific shim for their stems, but you're sort of defeating the purpose of the 'open' X2 when you could just use the elite. steerer clamp is cleaner on the elite, fwiw.

It will fit fine. They just include the measurements to look technical. Don't worry about trying to match the sizes.
