Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Paul Royal Flush Pure Cranks Colors?

We are going to be getting in some Paul royal flush Pure cranks- we were thinking the 48 tooth in 165mm and 170mm would be best- agreed?

We also are going to be getting in full gold anodized like this:

Question is- what other anodized color would you guys be interested in seeing?

Few people run 48t.
You should know that.

And while were on topic..what do fixed gear bikes and playing cards have in common anyway?

options are 39, 46, 48- we sell twice as many 48 chainrings than 46 so I figured 48 was the right combo

For the playing cards- not sure- maybe they are migrating from spokes to the crankset area- soon to take over seatposts & then who knows what is next- playing cards on handlebars?

It'd be sweet to be able to mix and match and have black arms with a gold ring or vice versa...

I thought that for a second then I really thought about Paul and all the stuff they make.
Then it was clearly not odd at all.

so true. it'd be nice to see paul make a normal 144bcd track crank with the royal flush details.

You can attach a playing card to your chainstay with a clothespin so it hits the spoke = motorcycle sounds...

Shouldn't they be the same suit if it's a royal flush?

I'd love to be able to afford these someday..

For me, I think nice colours would be: Black, White, Gold, Gunmetal Grey, Silver, Bronze, Red, Blue, Green & Purple.

With those, you can get pretty much any colour combo to work. I did them in order of importance (imo) and think that with the right colours and chainring's these would sell well to those with an infinite budget (who seem to be all over the fixie scene). Being able to interchange chainrings would definitely contribute..

I'd kill for a set of these in Gold for my current ride, but Bronze + G.M. Grey would defo go on my next! Pitty I'll never be able to afford them..

They're not that expensive. Especially when you're comparing them against Sugino 75s and you realize you don't need a really expensive BB.

in my opinion, white components are pretty done except for select instances, like when you're building a look 496, cervélo p2t, or bridgestone phm9.

plus you can't anodize white, only ceramic or powder coat.

1/8th inch dude, quit wasting your time.

those chainrings have a habit of taco-ing. If you want to sell paul comp parts, then convince the company to drop the proprietary nonsense and go to 130/144 bcd.

It's all about 47 for street riding for the skid patches...why anybody makes 48 is beyond me.
