Old and out of shape....
So...after a nice sushi dinner with the family -1 5yr old my older son and I decide to go on a ride.
To set the tone...dinner was 2 hours with lots of good food, beer and saki.
I get home, change into some shorts and a hoody and we're off. We take our usual route through the neighborhood. We get to the school and I begin to practice my skids. Being the n00b that I am, I pick up a little speed (after a few, in my mind successful skids) and lean over attempt to lock it up when all of the sudden I eat shart into the grass, feet still in the straps.
My son is laughing his ars off...saying you got pwned old man. I throw the standard parental rebuttal..you're grounded as I laughed my ars off...
This threw me back to the days of masonite burns while trying to stick the new trick at the skate park.
A little Bactine and couple more beers and it's all good! Good time...good times.
*cheers*

If I told my dad he got pwned, he would have no idea what I was saying. Much less could he teach me to skid.

P.S. Deathhare, whenever I see your sig, I click the link, even though I've clicked it a hundred times now. Such a nice frame, makes my mouth water. Too bad I'll never be able to afford one.

That is awesome riding with your son! Funny story. I can't wait to do that, even though my son is 2 but when the times comes I will be ready no matter how old I am.

My dad is big on road cycling. He used to take me for rides that were 20+ miles at inane times in the morning when I was a pre-teen. I wish he still did that. I'm gonna teach him to ride fixed!
You must be the coolest dad ever.
