Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Selling a bike: Opinions on a fair price.

I'm selling a 2007 57cm Rush hour. It's back in it's stock form except for the frip'n chops and brand new low end Campy brakes.

Everything is in very good condition. A few scratches here and there but no dents or dings in the frame.

What do you think a reasonable offer would be?

I'm in Boston btw.

Thanks.

^+1. $400 or maybe $425 if you can start on a higher bargaining point and haggle down to more. Why the sell? Got something newer/better?

I started upgrading it right away (bought it last sept). By the beginning of the summer everything was swapped out. By the end of the summer I had a new frame (Alien)l. So now I have two complete bikes. I was going to keep it thinking I'd be cool to have a single speed around for those days when I want to coast, but I really cant justify it seeing how I like my MTN bike (with slicks) better for that.

The Rush hour is in fact lighter and feels quicker than my Alien.. but the Alien fits me a bit better (their 61).
