Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

That's a really nice looking frame. The rest of the build does not do it justice. I would like it more as a winter training type roadfix, with drop bars + (white?) hoods, possibly some raceblades, nicer/ non BOTB cranks (some old 600s would be fine and theyre pretty cheap to get used) and a fork that matches better.

Yea its tubular. I got it for a deal so what the hell. That is the tire that came with it. I think i will replace it with a sprinter gatorskin. I have also been thinking about some drops but Im having trouble picking some out as this is my first bike thats not a bmx and I dont have much knowlege on the matter.

Oh and the pedals are just temps. Having trouble decideing on some pedals as well.

Pretend the HED3 is a Formula to R500 to match the rear. This picture was taken as a joke but it's the only good photo I have of my bike.

what don't you like about my bike... photography. haha

i'll post mine up soon. it's actually pretty interesting to read what people are saying and figuring out what possible technical issues can arise vs. aesthetic issues people seem to dislike on the whole.

good points! next picture i will keep those subtleties in mind.

i actually do plan on getting foot retention...
and i think a white saddle would look better. and i'm changing my stem to a 17degree/90mm instead of the current 6degree/100mm.

It's actually the Dealer Technology Evaluation Sample.

Risers are carbon, and the ridiculous rise prevents me from having to jack up the stem. The increased visibility and comfort from the more upright position is worth it.

The Raleigh decal is under the clearcoat. And it's an aluminum fork. Carbon fork is on the list for upgrades, in addition to a better crankset.

Geeknerd99,
Is that 6 inches of Nokon Cable? How much did that cost you?

I know it would be crazy, but there is a hed. 3 on your bike, so I don't know what to expect.

i only brought up those subtleties because your pictures are always top-notch. i was wondering what lens you had that you were at 195mm stopped to f2.8…then i found this on page 20-something of your photostream:

Lucky bass-terd. i need a full-frame dSLR and a crazy fast, fixed aperture telephoto lens. i'm glad to see you are putting it to good use—there's a lot of good pictures on your flickr.

Ok…back to bike-bashing (as if that topic really needed it's on thread here).
