I love the way bullhorns with a lot of drop look but hate the way bullhorns with no drop look. Unfortunately I don't think they would be practical for me. But they sure do look nice.

thanks. I dont do jumps or grinds or anything just like flatland mess around stuff. Its a lot of fun.
Plus the gear ratio is great for polo and easy cruising with slower friends and whatnot at 41-15.
Alot easier than the 53-16 on the Trek.

The Cannondale is pretty classy in my opinion. Truly simple bike. The Bianchi is just average in my opinion. nd the Fuji, hell I rode a Pepto Bismol pink bmx bike about 7 years ago way before it was a "cool" color so I can say to much bad. I just dont like the gold with it.

I've gotten a few comments from people that they don't like that my cannondale is all chipped up. I like it better because it is. It's 17 years old. It's been scraped up when I've fallen on the track. I've kicked it after I've fallen at the track. It's fallen on its own andon other bikes. Its a tool. I don't think any of my bikes ever stay pretty for long.

Totally subjective and maybe dumb but I'd prefer to see it with a black saddle and bar tape.

Gorgeous bike though. That frame is like sex. Would love to get my hands on one someday

Why two race bikes? Is the first one just a spare or something? I don't race track so I don't understand.

Wait. What's the problem? If you had a choice, you would choose to have one cool bike, instead of "many" cool bikes? ... You lucky people with garage spaces!

There's no reason. I decided I wanted to build another track mule about 2 years back so that's why I have 2 bikes that I race with. The decision on which I ride depends on which one is closer to the door on Thursday and Saturday night.

No hills at all, barely any stop lights and there shouldn't be pedestrians in the road anyways.

I also have 2 race bikes, one I bought 32 years ago and the other 4 years ago. There's a lot of advantages to having 2 race bikes. I can bring both bikes to the track and use one for warmup and the other to race, then the warmup bike is ready if I have a problem with the race bike. I can use the old bike with heavy tires for training or occasional road use and keep light track only tires on the new bike. All of this without having to constantly change wheels, cogs, chainrings. You can never have too many bikes.

i don't think that's his point. lol. 53:16 is really steep gearing. in generic gear inches, that could be like 85-87 gear inches. That's right around my default track gearing of 50:15. why would you want to ride a gear that tall on the street? brakeless, as it looks like on your rig. i wouldn't ride that ratio on a street bike personally with stop and go traffic or hills.

It's more like 89 gi, and that's crazy high for the street, regardless of whether or not you're running brakes. The highest I ever run on the street is 71 gi (42 x 16), unless I'm doing some sort of track-type workout on my brakeless track bike, in which case I'm riding on a desolate country road with no traffic or lights.

i was guesticalcing based on the gearing that i'm familiar with. i just used that online sheldon brown gi calculator and it came out to like 87 lol, so the interweb says i'm close at least. but yea, i wouldn't want to run that on the street, i'll run ~75 gi on my street bikes and save my knees. i'd hate to start and stop on my race bike gearing. i'd be a very unhappy commuter.

I ran 46-18 for the longest time and it just wasnt challenging anymore so I stepped it up.
My knees feel just fine and I do 45+ mile rides twice a week and commute to work and school a few times a week.
Just my preference I guess.
