IMHO, any bike with colored Deep Vs deserves to get flamed. I HATE colored Deep Vs. I think they are too common, and none of the colors really look that good. They just look really cheap. Plus its just an easy way to get a color scheme in your bike. I think that when people are able to establish a consistent color scheme without colored rims, it looks a lot better. Also, Kilos are just really lame. I'm glad you covered up the Mercier logo because I think it is written in the UGLIEST font ever. I suppose Kilos could look OK if you stripped them of all their logos and markings

Do you people just post your bikes instead of riding them? Or is it a major case of OCD with cleaning the bike? I don't see a drop a grease on teeth of most of these bike.

hate that stem. your chain looks flacid. spokes are ugly. Why not get the bikeisland kilo frame if you planned on taping up the decals?

I am not responding tot he post I have quoted here, but what is the deal w/ the bike in your signature? Your stem rises about 3 inches and then your handlebars drop that whole rise. It is HIDEOUS! That's the most disgusting stem/handlebar combo I have ever seen...

ive actually got a little brother pave.
thanks! it is the cinelli.
it is, but i shot these pictures with a bounced flash and a fairly direct ceiling light.
direct flash (to an extent simulating headlights)
no flash (indoors but similar to daytime ambient)
the more direct the light, the more light is reflected back.
these arent 'the' deep vs, but i understand and fairly agree with your viewpoint. i dislike the font as well, but i am very satisfied with the price and performance.
ive just finished the build on mostly new components.
low spokes have the potential to have a much higher risk of failure especially if the are not well built. for me, a brake is in the works.
the stem and spokes are polarizing, but i like them. at least the stem is more low profile without the cinelli billboarding. the chain as well as other things still need to be tensioned a bit more on this new build. i went with the complete as opposed to the frame because this was a gradual and ongoing process that that i rode as it progressed.

If you post photos of your bike on a thread called "What dont you like about my bike"
You dont get to defend the bike, right?
Maybe we need a thread called
"Lets argue about my opinions about your bike (that you asked for)"
And I agree, I am skeptical that these bikes are ever ridden.
My bike is goddamn filthy.

I perhaps do not understand the purpose of such a thread. To me it seems like a "celebrity bike roast".
In a roast, it would be considered bad form to defend yourself or take it all too seriously!
I think its kinda ballsy to put your bike here... You dont see me doing it!
F'ck it.

I am not against that. I was having the (perhaps deluded) feeling that alot of the time folks put their bike here to be spanked publicly and then are a little defensive...
