Funny you should say that. I let my friend borrow my bike and he crashed. My drop bars were so bent that I had to chop and flop them... and then flop them again.

vitus979: any stem would do but it would look better with a leveled stem, probably -17 drop. do they come with decals like that? seems like they were just slapped on... could use some stickers =)

allhailshater: not really feeling the oury bullhorns but if you like it thats cool with me

evotion: flip your stem down!

rydesfixies: level your saddle!

rowr rowr: level your saddle too! everything else is okay but those bullhorns look massive!

i just think its so cool that with just a simple bike everyone can add their little individual touch/history to it. ride on!

Plastic pedals, clips, and nylon straps!
Gum sidewalls are not my type

But I do think that frame looks sharp!

yup

Yeah the bars are basically mustache. A better lock is on the way now that the bike is looking more finished. The saddle will be gone soon as well, probably replaced with something like a brown leather one. The tires are old and cracked too, they're getting replaced with the steel rims.

Fire Away

Just converted this as my first fixed gear. It's an old Schwinn World Sport. Take into consideration the front is on higher ground than the rear, if things look funny. Thanks for all input.

I think the bike looks pretty sweet, but my tastes to lean more to the C&V. I like the gum wall tires, especially on that bike.

One thing, those are not moustache bars, those look to be flipped north roads. Nothing wrong with flipped north roads, but they are a fundamentally different bar. Moustache bars are meant to be ridden primarily on the hoods

while north roads, in either position, are ridden mainly on the sweeps.

Bull****. Try dropping the nose of your saddle a little. Your soft tissues will thank you.
