Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Downtube braze on shift lever post conversion

What has been used to make these look "finished" after you remove the multi speed drive chain and shift levers off a vintage bike race bike and convert to fixed gear?

Keep at least the right one untouched so you can mount the shifter for the 3 speed fixed gear hub thats coming out soon!!

if anyone suggests grinding them off, I'll sic the C&V forum on you. The right is for the S3x hub shifter, the left can fit a bell. Or a flower, if you're so inclined.

Keep the bosses. Or give the frame to someone else.

NO one will put a grinder to my frame. I understand that cosmetic schrader valve stem caps work. Just wondering if someone had figured something else out. Bell might be a good idea if I can find one to fit.
