It's got gears and no brakes ... or is there a coaster brake in that hub?
Are you sure it's fixed?

Richard

Disc brakes. I missed them. I was looking for the levers and am guessing they're hiding behind the bars.

It's been a long night. Upcoming exams are getting to me. Some barsteward's drunk all the wine and I'm damned sure it's not me, must've been the cat ... umm ... what other excuses can I come up with.

**slinks away, tries not to look at fixed gear bike hanging on wall in case it's crying**

I was just looking on yahoojp, and saw that company's mini-velos. They looked like **** too.

Crash The Roll Cake is a good name tho.

Haha, yeah.

Their bikes are strangely tempting! There is something almost Kitsch about them!

This one reminded me a little of the Fuji Obey, with it's GOOOOLLLD bare knuckle track drops, Gold aero (track looking) seatpost and the Brooksish leather saddle. That is why I see it as FG clone, even if it is not FG.

Maybe I should buy one!!!!

やだ! ださい! 違う!
I love it, noonoo I hate it! Argh!

They just look like they have no idea what they're doing.

I had a buddy who showed me a Chinese manufacturer's catalog, that had off the shelf frames you could slap a logo on, and there was a 29er frame with an eccentric bottom bracket AND track ends. This kind of reminds me of that. Just throw everything against the wall and see what sticks.

I do love the logo tho!

so, disc brakes and gears and a road geometry. but yet no road drops or hoods? I wouldnt want to ride a road bike with track drops - that's not comfortable nor does it serve any purpose. whats the point?

wearyourtruth 11-22-08 12:29 PM

how anyone can look past those 8 lb $200-walmart-hybrid cranks is beyond me.

bionnaki 11-22-08 12:31 PM

wow. I didnt even notice. I was busy wrapping my head around the track drops.

peabodypride 11-22-08 12:47 PM

Is that one of the little shipping/utility islands in Tokyo Bay off Odaiba?

matthavener 11-22-08 01:32 PM

that bike would be pretty sweet with risers if you ask me

I noticed those too. I have about 10 sets of those out in my bike junk box. They have the chainrings riveted on with rivets made to look like allen bolts

tatfiend 11-22-08 04:57 PM

Do not knock it too much. After all America came up with the Stingray and other very silly bike designs.

fuzz2050 11-22-08 08:00 PM

That bike is all kinds of messed up...Is that a Brooks?

NewYorkMantle 11-22-08 09:04 PM

you couldn't pay me to ride that
