Fixed Gear Wheelset Experts ENTER!
Looking to get my 1st fixed gear wheelset and I dont wanna get ripped. I found a CL ad:
"vintage campy wheelset 28h front and rear with a deep v back wheel and a campy front rim(omas hub)" worth purchasing and if so, for how much. I really appreciate all the input, thanks in advance |
Is the rear hub actually a track hub? That description is very convoluted.
|
i think so, because its his back up wheelset for a fixed gear
|
anyone?
|
Link? Pics?
What in the seller's asking price? Not enough info. |
thats all the desription, and it says best offer
|
Offer $50.
Contact the seller for more information. Vintage means different things to different people. Otherwise look elsewhere. |
|
It sounds like you might not be sure what you are looking for so don't let the buyer tell you it's what you need. That much is for sure.
But... the front wheel might be a good thing if it's a good Campy hub and light rim. I got a front wheel like that from a geared bike dude and it is great. |

He doesn't tell you anything about this "vintage campy wheelset", either check it out in person or go email him for more info. If he can't describe what he's selling then move on. |

Thanks for the worthless reply. Do us a favour and stop posting. Rolleyes is a big a waste of forum space as is any of your posts.
Sure, OK. I posted the link to show what little information was listed regarding the wheel set in question. I asked the OP about more info but I found the CL ad so others here would not have to keep asking the OP about it. It was just funny that you were repeating what I said earlier. "Contact the seller for more info." Lighten up. Just put me on ignore or something. |

Urbanassault, don't let this guy get to you. He's the local BF martyr who carries the burden of answering bike questions for the poor huddled masses like us, slogging through trenches of emoticons to enlighten the less fortunate.
When I saw his post, I was sure he was quoting me, so I had to look. Silly and stupid of me to do. Of course, everything I post is silly and stupid. Oops, another emoticon...I'm in real trouble now. To the OP, pardon this hijack. I hope you have been able to get more info from the seller on the wheels. |
that guy was asking 400$ for that wheelset...
i also found this, just emailed the guy to see what the complete wheelset would cost and heres the ad http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/bik/934980733.html |
