Bent crank, snapped chain, problems from my build
Hey guys,
I'm a roadie who made a fixed gear from a few old bike parts, and a nice new wheelset. It's fun as hell to ride, err when it works. My most recent problem; my 44t crankset BENT! What? What does this mean? My chain was pretty tight, but I thought that was how it was supposed to be. Any help at all would be appreciated as this was my new daily commuter. Thanks!

did the chainring bend, or the actual cranks bend? if it's just the chainring, you could try putting on a new one. also, your chainline might be off slightly and could be putting some horizontal pressure on it.

Bikes: I have cut my stable down to one bike in hopes to make room for a roadie.

What brand of chainring was it...(this is for my own knowledge...I don't want this to happen to me)
