Downtube Fenders
How well do these work? I've always assumed they suck. However, I'm seeing more and more of them. No matter what I try I can't get my front fender on my fork with the tire I want to run so I'm considering a downtube fender on my winter bike. Good idea or should I keep dealing with dirty pants and slushy toes?

test it out with a cut up bottle and if you like it, get something that looks nicer or keep the bottle.

i use one with a front fender. without it water sprays right off the downtube and into my shoes. i'd say it does a pretty decent job of deflecting that water. my feet still get wet but not as
bad as when i don't have it on
