Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

What did you break in '08?

Was a pretty good year. Nothing major

2 forks, (broke fork end on one and bent the other).
1 Rim + 1 spoke (trials bike, technically both a fixed gear (fixed hub) and ss (freewheel on crank)).
1 Chainring (remember to check your stack bolts more than once a season).

Hm...

2 frames (pista concept, IRO BFSSFG)
1 Pista Concept carbon fork -- rode over a parking lot separator in pitch black
1 left FSA Carbon Pro crankarm
1 Selle Rolls saddle (jean stains + cleaner ruined the suede, plus rips all over)
A few pairs of Ourys

Two stripped hubs (related incident), nitto olympiade bars, some spokes, and a so far non-fatal top tube dent.
