Alex sub wheels? Kilo TT Pro/Dawes SST AL

Anyone have any experience with the Alex Sub wheels that bikeisland sells? They are the same wheels that bikesdirect puts on the Kilo TT Pro and the Dawes SST-AL. Looking for a cheap/decent wheelset for a beater conversion.
I searched first and didn't find any helpful info. Any help is appreciated.

You are exactly who I want to talk to about this. These wheels would be going on a world sport conversion for me as well. Did you buy wheels only or did you get the whole-setup with tires, cogs, and tubes?
On a side note, how far have you gotten with your conversion? Are you going to use the original crank and BB or swap them out?

As far as the wheel's quality goes I haven't had any issues with them yet. Standard formula hubs so my surly stuff goes on smooth. All I did was true them right out of the box and they're still running straight for the past couple months. I would run these over the Vuelta wheels they sell, a friend of mine has those and they just look a bit cheap, these on the other hand look to be good quality and time will tell how durable they really are.

I can second that. The black/machined uber-cheapie Vueltas that bikeisland sells and come stock on "The Hour" are pretty bad. I have ridden on those wheels for just barely over a month and the rear hub already has an odd wobble to it.

Purchased a set of the Alex Sub wheels on bikeisland. Will let the internet know how that works out after I get them.

Got them via UPS today. Unfortunately the roads are a little unfit for skinny tire biking today. Update on my experience with them in a few days.

I have a set, they seem nice so far. True right out of the box and cheap too.

Stock set on my TT pro. They seem light enough, and no problems staying true. I've put miles on them, but I'm not very abusive either.

I'm betting they aren't the best wheels in the world, but hard to beat the price for the product.

So far so good. Bought a set for my girlfriends world sport/sprint conversion. She loves the way they look and they are decently light for a deep (30mm) rim.

i prefer the vueltas. had them on my conversion and swapped out the alex subs for them on my new tt pro.

they just felt lighter and rode better/smoother, pretty subjective i guess, not sure if the weight difference is much in actuality.

the subs also looked poorly constructed.

my 2cents.
