Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

His twitter feed said he rode 80 miles on this thing Sunday. And I'm guessing it's 54/14? Plus he probably rides with gloves so doesn't need tape?

Lance can pull skids with his one testicle, he doesn't need to use his legs.

Faster/easier to adjust than throwing on a new angle/length stem.

That stem could be for wind tunnel purposes. Handlebar position for better aero, etc.

i reckon its a 52 -14/15. weird that he doesnt tape his bars, even if you wear gloves you dont have anywhere as near as much grip, especially in the rain. saying that, those bars could be the carbon with a rough texture to the surface.

im actually quite supprised, i thought the use of fixed gear training was long dead in the world of international pro racing.
