Options: 2 bolt style open clamping quill stems.
Hey, i'm looking for suggestions on different brands/styles of open clamping quill stems. Examples could be Cinelli's Frog and Deda's Murex. I have a murex now but need something a little shorter in length (120mm right now), and seemingly both these models of stems arn't made anymore (i can't find them).
Preferably i want to find something forged, weld marks are a *****-killer for me.
Any first hand experience with a stem would be great, thanks for the opinions/suggestions
BEHOLD! THE MANTICORE!
Cinelli made some nice ones where the clamp was hidden behind the logo, I think someone in C&V has one up in the for trade section right now.
3ttt makes a beautiful gunmetal stem with a single bolt closure, the front is hinged. That said, the only one I've seen is at least 120mm and I have no idea if they make them any more.

i use a salsa quill stem. i think it looks great. the powdercoat is beautiful and it has a 2 bolt removable face plate for easy bar switch out.
Is this hinged?
