Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bike was unscathed, minor scrapes on rider. Pride suffered the most damage.

Every story about running into him is exactly the same too, but the mspaint just added to it.

High rate of speed... trying to bunnyhop the one lane alley ahead. Came-up a tad shy of the mark and slammed front wheel into curb flipping me and the bike forward. Landed chin first, breaking several teeth and requiring multiple stiches. I'd done it many times before without issue, only this time made an error in my launch calculation....err something like that.

You picked-up on my gross miscalculation....

Yeah, I was WAY off the mark. To this day, I haven't a clue what was going through my mind at the time of launch. Wish I could take this one back as it's caused me a lifetime of dental issues.

any bike shop will have them for cheap, or you could always try walgreens / drug / grocery store in the bicycle isle.

basically this says that i was riding in a spot that im familiar with (with 2 sharp turns) and with people who would tell me to watch out, and for this one instance, the ladder was moved to the middle of the sidewalk and i didnt have time to react.
