Best part is that it didn't really hurt. And I got my first look at what the shin-bone looked like. Due to the bear-trap raking down the surface of the bone I now have *****in' raised bumps from the bone regenerating.

My girlfriend at the time was scared out of her mind. I walked over to a bench to inspect my wound, heavily doused in shock, and made her toss cookies by moving my skin over the bone. I subsequently had to drive myself to the hospital.

Yeah its kinda cool when you can have the worst injuries and just walk away from them. Like this for example.

seems as though the bear trap worked, your leg definitely did not get away from it.

i ride bear traps on my BMX, i always think this is going to happen. so i wear shin guards when i go jumping.

why wouldn't you catch yourself with your hands???

tall&lanky 03-16-09 01:12 PM

didn't quite work that way. i wasn't that close to the truck, just close enough to slam my face into it.

imagine trying to fall into a pushup position... not too easy.

iansmash 03-16-09 01:16 PM

uhhh...are you sure about that? haha

If you are close enough to bust your face you are close enough to catch yourself, or at least put your arm in front of your face as a buffer

brendon_ak 03-16-09 02:53 PM

then he would have punched himself in the face

ultimately a much more funny ms paint mishap though

This was impromptu. I wasn't trying to go jumping, I was just being a gooch.

I paid for it.

Jesus, give the guy a break! He didn't post in here about how smashing his face into the bumper was the only thing he could do, he posted a funny drawing of his most spectacular bike mishap - I don't know if you have noticed, but most of the mishaps in here involve doing something stupid or wrong.

It's kind of the point.

happened on saturday, i shouldnt have had 3 doubles at the gay bar with my friends and then try to ride home. surprised i am still alive

Cynikal 03-16-09 04:01 PM

Nice, I've always loved the fact that you have to go to the gayborhood in Sac to get a decently poured drink. The exception is of course Benny's.

the mercantile. they pour like 6 shots into a double. and its only 3.50 during happy hour. those are my kind of prices!!!

Yup.

mandiejackson 03-16-09 04:27 PM

i don't have time to MS paint it, but my ex was riding past a full packed bar on a saturday night and tried to pop a wheelie and his front wheel flew off and he did a front flip over the handle bars. I saw the carnage afterward, pretty heinous

Cynikal 03-16-09 04:29 PM

I used to love the Merc, been a few years. With a toddler I don't quite get out like I used too.

i just realized that may have come off as snarky. i wasn't trying to be mean. just saying that i as always scared to tear the hell out of my leg when i road bear traps to i wore shin guards. i just ride platforms now though i broke a pedal and tossed on some old ones i had laying around.
