Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Kcirick-When I was in art school we had a project where we had to get a magazine picture, make a grid of the picture, and then draw what we saw in the grid onto a large scaled poster.
The girl in front of me who couldnt draw for the life of her got a picture of an ALMAY model or something, drew her grid, but for some reason when she transfered the picture to her larger scaled poster, it looked something like this.... I think what she did was her original picture was supposed to be horizontal, and she tranfered it vertically onto her poster, so the whole thing got stretched out, plus the fact that she couldnt draw....hilarious!FU guy reminds me of a better version of her drawing

Here is an embarrassing thing that happened to me today:

After I told a girl who was probably younger than me that she looked old enough to have an 18 year old son, the picture of the frustrated guy immediately came to mind because I had read this thread earlier.

Good thing I was on my single speed lol. If I was on my fuji track I would have skidddddzzzzed..... right into the car but instead I flipped over my handle bars and somehow landed on my feet and caught myself with my bike.

Dryblaze, you'd have better control on a bike with a shorter top tube.
You look a bit stretched out.

It was toooo much for my ms paint talent so I left it out and replaced it with a tombstone instead lol.

Ok, the story of awesome flippage-ness.

I was riding to work and I'm coming up to an intersection and I see that the light went green for people turning. I don't see any cars in the turning lane so I think I can just go through it before it turns green. I'm pedaling faster so i can just zoom through it and be super cool but once I entered the intersection I see a pizza delivery guy on my right flying down. I'm thinking "****, I'm gonna die!" (just like my cartoon but no tears, because im awesome). I instantly grabbed my brake lever and squeeeeezed the **** out of it (with my super arm). The front wheel completely stops and I go head over my handlebars. The momentum caused me to fly out of my pedals and I continues to fly forward as my legs go around the handle bars. When I cleared the bike I somehow kinda ran forward and try to catch myself or trip, fall, land on my face, and/or die?! But luckly landed on my feet and I caught myself in the middle of the intersection after a few steps forward to stop my momentum, while still holding onto my bike. I then realized my left arm was in between my legs and I was holding my handle bars in the middle of the street in shock of what just happened. Then I just look at the delievery driver and go "holy ****", chuckled from the disbelief that I didn't eat ****, and biked off.

thats pretty nuts DryBlaze. I've nearly went head over heels once. I was inches from a parked car, some ***** wouldn't let me into the lane, even though there was a completely empty lane to her left. I grabbed my front brake really hard, my back wheel lifted off the ground and my chain derailled (this was on a geared bike).

Liked the blood, but too much text. It's a cartoon, not a novel.
