Hmt

Leader 2009 HMT Frame. Real powdercoat and stainless steel luggs. Butted heat treated steel not chromolly. 100% flawless. Weight for medium frame is 4.3lb By the way I am and have been a huge Colnago fan.

I been thinking about this frame since you first announced it. I build (assemble) a couple of bikes a year and my next project is going to be a SSFG. However, I live miles away from anywhere. Do you ship overseas?

I've always like the Bob Jackson Vigorelli

is that leader the same frame as the Alien? Appears to be the same to me. I must say it is a pretty bike and the first leader I've been real impressed with, nice work

edit: speaking of, the leader's geometry is hella wacky. it requires me to ride a 48 or so seat tube if i want an appropriate top tube. i usually ride a 53 or so st. the result is a massive saddle-bar drop.

Wow thanks, we were all so horribly mistaken, so thanks for enlightening us. Mods you can just go ahead and close this thread and any others with this archaic completely useless style of frames. It is now clear to me that these are all garbage bikes, man I was such a fool!

Looked at Steelwool? They're Canadian.
However, may not be your thing because:
1. more like road geo (decent clearance for fenders/slightly larger tires though!)
2. EBB

Still, they look pretty decent, if you like those kinds of things.

You'll ride TIG-welds, and you'll like it! You'll like it good.

Really? Seen Richard Sachs' or Vanilla Cycles' waiting lists lately?

No, the HMT frame is made by a small subcontracted company in Taiwan. Every detail on this frame is flawless. We use real Reynolds steel imported from the UK. Because we have decided to discontinue business with Reynolds we can now say the frame is made of 853. In the summer our new frames will be made of Japanese Tange Prestige. We also plan to start building new more affordable steel frames later this year. It will be extremely different to what is around and the price will be incredible.

this is the only frame we measure center of BB to center of top tube. This is the way to measure a lugged frame. Also the geometry is exactly the same as our 735TR and 725TR frames. So on the HMT you would ride the 49cm c-c.

You might like the Mercian Super Vigorelli:

https://www.merciancycles.co.uk/frame_vigorelli.asp

They'll make it to fit you, crate it up and ship it to your front door in less than a month for somewhere between $1,000 and $1,500, depending on the tubing you choose.

Who cares? You don't need track geometry unless you're uh, riding on the track. Road frame is a much better choice than a track if you're riding it mainly on the road.
