Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Looking for people to ride with..

Hey guys. My dad recently completed my Bianchi Strada LX fixie and I've been looking for people to ride around with. I love it and it's a great bike, but I don't know anyone who rides fixed! I have been unsuccessful lately so I decided to join the forums and try my luck here. I'm not looking for long rides, I just to go and have fun. I live in La Habra. If you're located somewhere around there, hit me up!

I wish I lived closer but I'm an hour away. I'm trying to get my friends to ride but they aren't feeling it. I even have an extra bike for them! =/

I was one hundred percent dedicated to making fun of my dad because he rode fixed, then I enlightened myself and tried it
I don't think many people like it at first. I tried to show my friends and they didn't understand how it worked lol. You have to convert them. >:]

@frank
Dude seriously she's moving to La Habra.
She's going to know how much of a disgusting horrible person I think she is very soon :]

@Jaco
I would but we always fight about nothing and it ends up getting really bad so yaaaa.

join lafixed.com and look at the info for the cerritos ride that meets on mondays near the mall. Theres also a 5fix2 ride that meets sort of near you (I think it was Norwalk), you can find the info there on those forums. check out www.midnightridazz.com too (and if you feel like traveling, go to www.orangecountyfixed.com)
