Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

-I got them real cheap
-They'd just be sitting around if i didn't use them
-I could gut them but the return spring is part of the shifter guts

I'll give you 150 dollars for those shifters, assuming they work. Then you can buy the carbon SRAM levers alone. I'm dead serious. If you're interested PM me. If not, no need. I'm hesitant to say they're being "wasted" on your bike because I don't think bike components are exactly precious, but it seems our interests might coincide. Maybe.

Or whatever, you know

put some road drops and hood brakes on.. turned out to be a nice weather day after all.

put on a rear brake, thought that was weird, but thought it might be weirder to not have it hooked up at all.

and man, im not liking those green wheels anymore

Sell those green deep v's while the hipsters are still into fg bikes! Most of them are moving onto cyclocross already.

i got tired of my white wheels, so i just stripped the paint. it wasn't all that difficult. i think silver wheels would look great.

Here's my current rendition of a fixed gear, along with my awsome bag I got from Blicks. This is my commuting set up for the 5 days of the week that I work.

Here's clearance I get with a specialized 28c on the back

And here's my latest build (both bike and mallet). My polo set up for my 2 days off (which are conveniently the same 2 days polo is played), and yes, my front wheel cover is a black lady with chicken. Popeyes was having a promotional giveaway, buy a dinner meal and I got to come back and steal they're signs at 2am. I got enough corruplast to make all 4 wheel covers in one foul swing.
