Alright so I'm a bit stumped on this one.

I got a set of Sugino 75s a few weeks back and then got the Sugino Mighty 68 BB the other day. I went to install it all today, and for some reason the cranks hit my chain stay on the drive side. I messed around with everything for a while and have no idea what's going on. Its an IRO, and the stock IRO cranks clear obviously, but even when I checked them on the sugino BB they were fine. I changed from 170 to 165...but that doesn't seem like it should make that big of a difference. Anything I'm missing? The other weird part is that the non drive side (the part with the lock ring) doesn't thread all the way flush, it sticks out like an eighth inch and if I go any tighter the axle won't spin anymore. I figured that it would be fine since it would have the lock ring, but now I'm thinking there might be a bigger problem and I'm just not figuring it out. Any help?

Bottom bracket is in backwards(?).

I thought of that, The cups only go in one way (i can't thread the drive side on non drive and vice versa) and the axle doesn't work either way. I was really hoping it would be that easy.

Real easy to overlook but did you install the chainring properly?
It should sit flush.

easy solution , put a mall enough dent in the chainstay so the chainring clears it. i had to do this to my frame too.

I checked the chainring, I bought it used off of somebody so I thought maybe there was something up with it, but as far as I can see it looks fine and installed right...I'm going to run to the lbs and have a friend check it out. Thanks for the help.

I think the 68 needs a different BB than the 75! Sounds like it's too short.
