Mixing 1/8" and 3/32" ???
So I scored an amazing crank of CL that with a little help is not mounted on my fixie (was a 160 mm triple with 44-32-22, now a 44 single) The only hitch it that the new crank has a 3/32" chainwheel while my cog is 1/8"
I know this isn't ideal, but can I run this with a modicum of safety until I have the cash to buy a new rear cog? And yes I do run a front brake. thanks |
Perfectly fine. There's nothing un-ideal about this setup anyways.

yeah it really doesn't matter at all, i don't think..............i hope not anyways ;)

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing.
Same would be true for a 1/8" chainring and 3/32" cog, right? |
mixing 1/8 and 3/32 also helps straighten a crooked chainline.
