Continental Race Supersonic tubes - suck?
I picked these up online last week. Installed two on my bike (font/back). Today I went to pump up my tires to about 110 psi. The front tube blew. I replaced the tube. Pumped it up to 100 psi. The tube blew. Installed a conti race tube (non supersonic) after and inflated it just fine to 100 psi. My rims are clean and debris free.
Anyone else have back luck with these tubes? Should I be worried about my back wheel blowing while I ride now? I just wasted about $30 CAD on tubes so I am a little pissed. Lesson learned.

It sounds more like you pinched them when you installed them. I've used the same tubes without any problems.

usually when i install a new tube/tire, i first pump it up to about 60-70 psi, let all the air out, massage the tire a little, and re-inflate to 120 or whatever, this method seems to work well for me to avoid tube failure...

What I don't get is that the tube had already been inflated, ridden on, then when I went to refill the tube it popped. The second time I put a new tube in maybe it was mounted wrong but wouldn't the first tube have popped sooner if a pinch was the cause? I also partially inflate my tubes before installing them and that should cut down on the chances of it pinching on the bead of the tire.

tubes aren't designed to contain pressure, just seal in the air. double check your installation and your rim for debris or slipped rim strips, and take your time. talcum powder helps.
