Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

it's a Lobular 100 frame (2005). Complete Dura Ace 10sp group (including brakes and pedals). It rides like a dream.

More like Deda Crono NERD.

Just kidding.

I got a Nexus 7 speed to Rynolite 26" for the spingery bike. Roller brake and rocker shifting.

Didn't want to give up the U brake rear, so I'm gonna hook up the roller brake to a friction DT shifter for a drag brake setup. Because WHY THE **** NOT.

you're already out shining me Scrod! damn you. I would just happen to build up the same bike as a fully working, grown adult who is also a knowledgeable bike mechanic.

Your chain stay looks bent, I'm afraind your S300 will not clear it. You should just send that frame my way instead, with the Aerospoke, of course.

Hahaha...For some reason, I totally knew you'd be along to say something about my crankset not fitting!

I checked it the other day when that thread came up. My S-300s work just fine.

A pair of Dickies utility shorts for $9.99 on sale at my LHS. So, what does this have to do with ssfg? I wore them today while riding on my Salsa Casseroll SS. Today we had beautiful indian summer weather in north Texas, with temps maxing out over 80*F. Anyways these shorts are perfect for cycling, relaxed fit and stretchy, and ride just above the knees on the bike.

Today, we're having a typical winter day in Vancouver.

Oh well, it's not going to stop me from riding.

Well, this isn't typical weather for this time of year, and by Xmas we'll be back in the 30's. It's just kinda cool occasionally to be able to ride in shorts and a tank top.
