Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I'll answer after lunch to give a few people a chance to guess but without making it linger on for such a small prize

everyone fails, but that was kinda the point. it was *1* conti gatorskin and for some reason that's the box it was shipped in. The box is larger than the box my wheelset and my frame came in. I was like "uhh what did I order" when it came in.

Wow.... talk about amazon fail... I was about to joke guess that you ordered some kool stop salmon inserts but I changed it last minute.

The last time I ordered a rando from amazon they sent it in a extra large wheel box with probably 500ft of paper packing....

makes me wonder how they don't lose money on my purchase. I have prime so I get the 2 day air mail, but actually paid $3 for the overnight on this one heh. So they had to overnight a box that size...

Likewise; large things I've bought on prime are a costco size pack of laundry detergent that weighed 50lbs, my set of logitech z 5500's that weigh in at 60lbs in box, and a krypto NY chain; all shipped two day.

Thinking about new shoes for me, but none of the LBS's have the kind I want to try. Thinking about ordering online but I am really bad about remote ordering and returning if it doesn't work out. Curious about the shimano spd sandals but they come in 43/44 and 45/46 and what my feet are is 44/45.

The boxes they ship vinyl records in are huge also. A box within a box that is big enough for at least 15 if not more records.
