Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I had been looking at one of these types of headlights and this price is pretty good. The flashlights will still be useful, but I think this thing will see some serious duty!
The video review on Amazon's site really sold it for me. That thing looks scary bright. Sucks that it's going to take a month to get here though; I don't have a decent "to see" headlight I can use right now, and my work route is scary dark at 6AM.

The short answer: Nothing.

I went to a big swap meet in San Diego at the Velodrome, but couldn't find anything that really caught my eye. It's a 310-mile round trip, so at least I can't be accused of not trying.

Just turned an old 10spd into my first ss. Alex DA22 wheels. They feel great for my first official set of "track" wheels. Way better than the sludgy old 27"s that were on there.

Nice. What year is that one? I'm going to make my 09 my beater/lock up bike soon, it is really a durable, solid frame.

Oof sorry to hear that.
But you're not alone, I went today and only ended up snagging things for the sqrl and buddies who couldn't make it.

They seem to be doing that with a lot of their components. The Sugino cranks are already gone I think. Some of their older completes had a lot going for them, the One Way came stock with Brooks saddle/tape.

Have some volume hipster v2 bars on the way. A little more rise than my current bars, steel so they shouldn't flex, and a tad wider. The shape is interesting, and a bit more sweep than I am used to, so wondering how they will feel.

Just hopefully they send me the v2 and not the v1 since the whole internet seems to get these mixed up.
