Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I 100% protest that idea! Go for the opposite route....grow in the center and rock a full beard! I've been doing it for the past 5 years and knocking out shaving from my daily routine is one of the best moves I've EVER made!

that's a ****ing sweet ride! how do you like your tires at 25/28?

on another note that's some what related,

what's the fair market price for a "very lightly used" wheel set: dura ace track hubs laced to mavic open pros?

$335 right now for a set of Open Pro's to DA Track.

I would not pay any more than $250 for a used set.

Just got a Miche, ritchey aero road rim wheel set todays (ebay, take off ftp i thinks).
I like my Miches on the IRO, and they were cheaps. But silly to use radial front on kilo with rack. More excess gear for now!

bought some silver deep v's/formula hubs and EAI deluxe 17t cog. 48/17 is really easy from 16. anyway my bike is so heavy now. kinda good kinda bad but i love it. didnt know 1 tooth could make so much difference

28 gatorskin? that's pretty beefy

yup i have 48 and a flip flop, 17 16... so i know exactly what you mean. and v's are heavy as hell, but they're stiff... so that's good.

i'm thinking i'll try the 28 on the rear of my kilo, but i don't know if i can fit it with the 17.
