Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

As terrible as his bikes have been over the last few years he climbs like a ****ing goat. It was terribly disheartening to be 800 vertical feet at a 15-20% grade into a climb and here comes Sol smiling up and past me.

40mm tires. That's apparently equivalent to taking a tooth off the back relative to the 32s I had, I'm finding.

$38 on eBay. Perfect shape, save for the shallow surface dent in the leather. I'm guessing something was resting on it wherever it was stored.

I recently bought GR-9s and am very happy also.

I bought some LED pattern valve caps tonight though and am looking forward to a night time ride with them. here is a shot on the stand with the front wheel in motion.

Need to see the rest of the bike to determine the pimpness factor...

My guess is it would look better with black clips.

New rollie bits. All-City hubs, Sun Assault rims, and Revolution spokes. My first wheel build, and so far, so good.

New saddle... oh, so comfy.
