Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I'm really curious about the eightinch amelia wheelset. Sooooo cheap. Its the cheapest complete (with cog, lockring, tube, tires) that i've ever found. Let us know what you think of them when you get them.

They look to be pretty good quality. i swapped out the tires with some new ones i had bought recently but other than that i'm gonna rock all the stock stuff as long as possible. But yeah it looks pretty good. i'm excited to ride them. also they really aren't that heavy.

Sadly, no. Zaffiros. I need to save my money for more things, such as a new wheelset and crankset. Hopefully soon

RB-021s and a Giro Ionos. My head is about 58 cm, which places me on the cusp between medium and large in a helmet. At first I thought the large-sized Ionos was too big for me because I had to cinch the RocLoc to nearly the smallest size. Also it looked ginormous on my head. So I ran out to Sporting Life and bought a medium Livestrong Saros. Upon trying it some more I realised that my head just wasn't fitting inside the Saros and getting in a wreck in a small helmet could kill me. So I have to return the Saros and just deal with the enormous Ionos. Oh well. It was a steal. Got it for $100.

Mavic GL330s laced to high-flange Campy Record Pista hubs. Now I just need tires, a stem (watching one on Ebay), a chainring, and a chain to finish up my build.

Found a mint Thomson X2 on ebay for CHEEEEEAP! Arrived today.

Much lower stack height than my other stem though. Failed to anticipate that. Now I'm in need of an extra spacer *grumble*
