I am not quite sure...I have a set of Tektro R530 and I'm not complaining, I haven't tried the 600 set though.
I've always liked Tektro calipers, decent price for a decent quality.

agreed. speaking of brakes. anyone know what would be a good set of caliper brakes that would fit on an old giant option with 32x650 tires... any help would be stellar.

Just got a set of Shimano 600 cranks with a Blackspire Mono Veloce 44t chain ring, I was going to get the Campagnolo Daytona but I saw the set of Shimano for only $30 bucks. Also got a Blackspire Mono Veloce 44t chain ring, but I feel like I'm spinning out easier with a 17t cog. Might exchange for a 46t.

She somehow manages to put up with me so I have to treat her well. One of the reasons I couldn't justify buying that sweet vintage Raleigh for myself is that I just spent money on all this stuff to help her finish a conversion she's been working on.

You don't seem that difficult to put up with though.
Post pics after you guys are done with the conversion, I'd love to see what your wife can muster up.

Yeah, I'm pretty much out of my damn mind. Perhaps even more so in real life than on the internet. You know all the random pics I post that sometimes correspond with what's being talked about and other times make no sense at all? That's how all my thoughts are...like an endless string of Fabio getting hit in the nose by a pigeon on a rollercoaster and mentally challenged kids dressed as Superman.

Her bike is coming out pretty sweet for a relatively low-cost FG conversion. I'll be sure to post pics soon!

Nice purchases, gospastic! I'm honestly considering going practical on my track frame and just getting some anatomic drops+hoods like you. What frames are those? Red one looks like a Capo.

yup, red one is a capo, white one is a bianchi roger. i am going to try capo out on the track. but before that i had the hoods and drops on it for a while. very comfy to ride. switched them to the roger for now.

if you dont mind me asking, what did you use to cover up the ends of your leather bar tape. it looks like a leather shoe string or something like that?

NItto RB-021's suck. they have no sweep and therefore quite uncomfortable. If they must be nitto, get the B-259!
