Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I got both from REI. The light set was 60 and the bottle was 12. Kinda bought the bottle on a whim but I've wanted one for a while.

Lockring tool. I've been pushing my luck with the screwdriver/hammer combo for too long.

Crud RoadRacer fenders.
Works really well, stays on very bumpy roads, no wheel rubs.
Able to mount rear on Fixed gears. (Not my pic)

Tho I used one of the Orings instead of the zip ties on the brake bridge.

How well do these work? I can't imagine you stay much cleaner with so little coverage on the sides.

Got some free risers from my LBS, cut them and I'm going out tomorrow to get some Animal Edwin grips for them. Was considering Oury's, but I didn't like how they felt (tested them out on my friends bike). Probably all I'm going to be buying for a while. Saving up for a new build.

can't wait for this to arrive....I ordered a "vintage" regal through a crap lbs and got the runaround for five weeks until I got a refund; but it was probably a blessing in disguise because after further research, the regal wouldn't suit me particularly well anyway...all's well that ends (hopefully) well
