Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Those 44RN rings are damn cool looking. Glad Prolly has brought 'em back.

Unrelated to SS/FG but I just scored a 2012 Felt F1X frame w/ matching ENVE fork for only $460. Stoooooooooked

I bought a pair of wool hiker socks by Champion for $5 at a local store. They're 80% wool 19% nylon 1% spandex, made in USA, pretty warm and elastic, and not loose like some socks. I'm thinking they don't make them anymore as I can't find them online anywhere.

For the Surly

For the Fuji

For the SIDIs

Finally got tired of my feet flying off the pedals, and I've been sharing one really beat up set of M520s (they wobble on their spindles, and the plastic bits are shattered) between both bikes. I also bought (but don't have a picture of) a second set of mounting hardware for my Ortlieb saddle bag. Next will be a new set of Gatorskins and whatever chemicals I need to strip the braking surface on the Fuji's wheels. The goal is to be able to switch bikes without having to wrench around beforehand.

Some of the wicked winds we have been having lately have made me want to lower my gear inches so another EAI it is. I should be stronger then I was last year but maybe the winds are just that more wicked this year.

Be ready for the seams on the fingers to randomly fail for no good reason. Fox gloves are not what they used to be.

Yeah, I've been hearing some horror stories about Velocity lately.

Happy atm with mavic rims(Though H+Son Archetypes are getting my interest atm), on road and Sun Ringle on the mtb.
