who rocks this? Does it effect the crank ie make it your pedals/crank arms hit the ground?

Mad barspins yo. Now if he can just find an aerospoke in 650b, he'll have the coolest bike of 2005.

Seems like a good way to straighten out a pursuit frame.

I think a 26" zipp wheelchair wheel mated to a zero-rake-one-bladed-fork-without-brake-drilling would be better.

I rode a friend's, I didn't notice anything bad regarding the cranks. Just the steering response was way too twitchy for me.

I was actually just curious to discuss it because I have never tried it myself and I would imagine it would pose some problems.

I think my lawnmowers wheels are roughly 12" in the rear and only about 6" in the front, so that's a 2:1 ratio. I can do hellsa mad barspins with my lawnmower.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but coming across a google search, this thread is one of the first thing that pops up.

I've been riding a 650c front/700c rear on all of my fixed gears for the past 4 years or so. I use the original 700c forks that come with the frame. I've never had a problem with any of my frames. I don't do it for bar spins, I do it simply because I have extremely small frames.

I'm 5'4" and ride the smallest frames available. My EighthInch Scramblr is a 48cm, Super Pista is a 49cm, and Vigorelli is a 50cm. I hate how the top tube slopes downwards towards the seat tube. It's like an opposite pursuit frame. I want a more aggressive ride, so I ride a 650c in front to sort of even out the shortness of my frame. That way the top tube is more parallel with the ground than reverse sloped.

Buy yourself a Wabi Classic 42cm with 650c wheels front and rear. It has a horizontal top tube and proper geometry. I've got the discontinued Lightning model. I'm only 5' 3" btw.
