bianchi san jose tires
hello everyone
So I just purchased a used bianchi san jose and don't like the tires because I mainly ride on the road. I was wondering if i could just put some slicks on the stock rim. I am sorry for such a newbie question but I hope I can receive a quick and courteous response from the community. If it is possible can someone lead me to where I can purchase some fairly cheap tires that will fit. Thank You |
Yes. Anything marked 700c x 23 or larger should fit.
|
**** a 700x23. Go bigger than that, especially on that frame. I'd get some bomber 700x32's and pump em up.
|
I love my Panaracer Paselas. I run the 700x28c size. That size would be great on that bike and they are pretty inexpensive.

Check the rims. My San Jose came with non-hooked bead rims. High pressure, high quality road tires will not remain seated on non-hooked bead rims.l

They still sell non-hooked rims?
|
How would I know if they are non-hooked? sorry I am newb.

I didn't think non hooked rims were made in the past few decades.
Pics or it didn't happen |
If the San Jose in within the last three years, it is the same wheelset as the Pista, so the Alex rims are more likely than not hooked.
