Tommaso Augusta??

So I've been spending about 2 weeks looking into all different kinds of bikes and i really can't put my finger on one. my LBS only carries the 09' Raleigh Rush Hour for $770, and i honestly am not looking for a real flashy bike, and the price is a little out of the ball park for me. I am willing to save some money and spend a good amount, but i want a good bike. Does anyone have idea on how the 09 Augusta ride is? Or at least have suggestions for a good fixed. I'm looking for something that I'm not going to have to replace every part because its a piece of crap. Something worthwhile and comfortable for long rides. Any suggestions would be pretty sweet.

I bought one and it was defective. Returned it and the second was screwed up as well. Junk!

I just recently purchased one and I love it. I don't see any defects on the bike other than some minor cosmetic blemishes. I read Dirt Boy's post on the defective brake bridges, however I'm running brakeless so I can't comment on that. Otherwise I can't find anything wrong about the bike. For $400, the stock components are not that bad, for example, they come with weinmann DP18 wheelset. Also, my friend rides with someone with an augusta and he loves it as well.

Another paycheck will buy you something you don't have to ask about in a random forum.

They have a new version that's all blacked out for less than $100 more than the regular one. Comes with Weinmann DP18s, Wellgo pedals, FSA headset, Selle San Marco seat, but no brakes. On paper, seems decent for an off-the-shelf bike for $489.

For the money, wouldn't one of the bikes direct bikes have more to offer?
