which would you rather ride/convert
Vintage 70's schwinn varsity or Centurion Accordo RS or Centurion Cavaletto
I know nothing about centurions, besides Im trying to either for it for $50, the varsity would cost me $20 (which I know some might argue its not even worth that) |
Which one fits the best? (frame size)
|
With fit being equal the Centurion is a much lighter bicycle and they are typically very well made.

So the Centurion he is only going down to $75, which at that point I'm not even so sure its worth even $75 on what would be stripped down and converted shortly. Does it make sense to spend that much on this old frame or just wait a bit and save more money up. I currently have a varsity fixed gear and can use something lighter and that fits a bit better.

My experience with bikes is, if it fits, you like it, and you ride it, it is worth it. My SS just got run over by a car. The frame cost me $25 15 years ago at a sale. I loved that frame, and the bike. I have several thousand dollars worth of bikes downstairs that do not fit me as well as that old bike.
