Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Its a track bike fer sure\ or maybe not. Way advanced cable routes, beautiful lugs, no decal (pretty sure a team trainer bike) Shimano 600, everywhere. Suzue hubs and poss the toptube is inclined higher @ the seatpost. High end rim\ no idea of the make xc. Shifter on downtube. Serial starts with CE.

What the heck did I just buy? I was shopping for a kids bike. won't have pics for a day or two. Classic frame design, I've seen before. Bikes white, no alteration.

Any linkage to sites of info on this frameworks please and big thank-you'se.

I found it in a thrift store (not cheap) check the #no with police tommorow. Possibly stolen, hope buddy covers my purchase cost when he gets it back. ( My friend, looking @ it said he wasn't sure what he was looking at.)
I ride offroad more ..still. OMG, WICKED ride, even sneakers on the clip spindles, unable to sit on the seat ( had no Allen keys.) rode home, top drawer.

I'm posting this here 'cause it's the neat-o frame you ss guys love. I check out bike stuff not of BIG interest, like road, dude...I found one of THOSE bikes, WAY too big for me, but some cyclists gonna get a peach. Not ebay, maybe a bro or I have a messenger friend who is ss, but it's prob to big for him.

Jef.

The seat post tube is 24 inches long. 5 foot, 7 inch wheel edge to edge. Say 19 Lbs.
Light for the largest frame I ever rode.
How tall is the persons this frame was built for? 42 and 52 t Biopace rings.
It's a sculpture. Biggest bike I've seen.

http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=30639 This frame. Pretty sure, well..the rear wheels closer to the seat tube and my level says incline towards headset.

That bike looks like about a 58cm, fits somewhere between 5'10" to 6'++. The best way to tell if it is a track frame is to look at the drop outs, if the open towards the back it is a track bike, otherwise a road conversion.

Nice looking bike, I cannot believe you found that in a thrift store, good chance it was stolen.

Can you take a look and see who made the hubs, rims? The rims look like Open Pros from my vantage, the hubs look to be of high quality as well, although it is difficult to see..

Phil

P.S. How much do you want for it?

Frame type similar, the head and seat tube are in parallel lines, more rake to the head tube and couple degree's higher @ the seat tube.

I assume you deflate the rear tire to remove?
-Man it's tight back there. With the IRC crosscountry tires, there is 1 & 2 cm clearance.
This bike has a wierd xc vibe, may not be super old.
The dropouts are horizontal, but are open towards the bb. Not track.
Not sure, I may have those rims in the pic.

I'm freaked, my kid wants a road bike. I at least got a full bikes worth Shimano-600 perfect condition.
2 perfect 700 wheels, maybe Openpros, very new tires ,mod headset, BB smooth as cream.

Frames for a giant....figure I can swap the gruppo\bb\headset\wheels-everything that fits onto a frame she'll fit. Paid $75.
Figure I can set her up with a pro road bike for $150, just gotta find a tiny frame.
She's 14, but I want her to ride HQ equiptment.
Gonna be a FASTEST kids bike ever. Open Pro's eh?

61 cm seattube, 56 cm toptube. Or 61cm toptube from seat> headset. I ride 16-17 inch incline toptube mtb's.

Can't believe I was able to ride it home.

This bike with different fork and the rear tri connects 1 cm back\lower on the seattube collar. Like the sweet black one above.
Exact cable holes, lugs and goemetry.

Tri A? I got a triathlon bike? Cool. Got the kmf dropouts.

Police say it's mine. Far freaking out.

You'll probably want to change the rings if you go fixed/ss...

Sounds like a nice find...

I'm 5.9, this bike is HUGE. Like I said, can't believe I was able to ride it home.
Kept up to some chatty roadies. Way nice bike, great control, never rode a road bike like this. If it was a good deal smaller, I'd be a road convert in a second.
I would be...and it would be, ALL OVER (for) the race scene. Bwaahaaha.

Suzue means I have track hubs? (One of the reasons for me assuming it was some kind of velo\ track bike).

...(what does it mean that you HAVE track hubs?)

The bb cup? etc looks brand new, and tiny> it's like WAY inside. The spindle\ shaft disappears into the bb.
Black, no outside lettering. Kinda mysterious.
This bike is cool.

How can I find the steel type?.
