Was this "pothole" rolling on four wheels and disguised as an automobile?

Holy-faq! Does the population living at the bottom of that pothole speak a different dialect of English?

You must have hit the other side of this guy's pothole in China.....

https://www.bikeforums.net/touring/528463-potholed-my-lht-still-rideable.html

In all seriousness, this is the second frame bend at the same point this year with a Surly frame from a pothole. Glad you weren't seriously hurt. When you contact Surly, you might be able to use the linked thread to support a possible warranty claim, by the way.

Here's his frame damage from his pothole encounter touring China with a LHT.....

That LHT is in no way bent at the same place as the OP's Steamroller. You can take any steal bike and smash it into a deep enough pot hole and do that kind of damage. Just be glad your headtube didn't shear off and cause more damage to your fleshy surface than you've already suffered.
