Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Damn you Bikeforums.net!! lol

I was really into BMX back when I was a kid. I was the one that built the ramp and fixed everyone's bike in the neighborhood. But I forgot about bike when I got my first car (I know shame on me). Here where it started all over again. In May I went to Savannah, GA on a vacation with my girlfriend and I saw my first fixed gear. I fell in love with how simple and cleaning this bikes were. Than on the way back down to South Florida I stopped by UF to visit my lil sister and again fixed gear bikes. I asked my lil sister what was up with these bike and she said that's what a lot of people ride up here. So she took to a bike shop up there and a very helpful guy explained fixed gear bikes to me. Then I came here to this forum and that was it. I have been hooked and can't seem to get enough of bikes and biking again. Since then I have bought 4 bikes (only one has been for me) and had one given to me. One for everyone in my family, still trying to find my dad one. Here are some pics of my buys and the one given to me.

This is the one that was given to me. My favorite

Mom's bike (was my girlfriends but to big)

My girlfriends (just got it 2 days ago. It needs a lot of TLC)

My sister's (its going to be getting yellow tires and bar tape

And the bike that I am going to be converting. I got it yesterday

Flatten out the aero bars on the first one, that's a ridiculous position.
